Kaitlyn
Head of Community, Head of People, Kaitlyn sailed to Kentucky from Boston after a career in non-profits that took her from New York to Washington, D.C., and eventually lured her best friend Nicole here on the promise of bourbon, adventure and great people. You’ll catch Kaitlyn pouring whiskey at Trouble Bar or straight up gossiping on our bourbon country excursions.

Nicole
She’s been rocking with Kaitlyn from Washington, D.C. to Rwanda to Harlem. So, when she decided to give up her high heels and her job at Kate Spade New York in Manhattan for greener pastures, the futon in Kaitlyn’s home office in Louisville was the solution. You’ll find her leading our bourbon tastings, curating the whiskey selection at Trouble Bar and writing your itinerary for your group excursions or private journeys.
-
David
You’ll find David behind the bar at Trouble, ensuring the cocktail menu stays ahead of the curve. He infuses cocktails with the same whimsy and delight he brings to his graphic design and modeling hustles. Be sure to ask him about the playlist and his current favorite drink on the menu!

With a team with a combined forty years of industry experience, our aim is to show our guests the bourbon country we love; from the visitor center employees to the sales folks to the master distillers to the CEOs, bourbon is a family and a community that is absolutely unmatched. We want you to see it like we see it - as a special, close-knit place that makes something amazing that we all love sharing with you, our way.
Travel with us if you want to be more behind the scenes, have special, one-of-a-kind experiences, be one of a few dozen trips a year we curate rather than one of hundreds or thousands, and want to travel only with a small select group.
Finally, M&G trips are curated by women, folks of color, and LGBTQ+ folks. We know what we need to feel safe and comfortable when we travel so we can focus on having the amazing experience we deserve, and that comfort and safety is our first priority for you as well. Bourbon is for everyone.

Our Journeys are our private trip offerings. These are planned specifically for your group, customized to your trip desires. You choose the dates for your travel and control the price point.
Our Excursions are our curated, pre-planned group trips. They will have room for 10-20 guests and exist to be booked in one click at your convenience. While you are welcome to buy out an entire excursion, these trips are a group travel format that offer the opportunity to make new life-long friends.

Private transportation is pricey and will comprise 70 - 80% of your trip cost. And since there is basically no transport infrastructure outside of Louisville and Lexington, a private driver is one of the only ways to see the vast majority of distilleries. Tours and tastings are fairly inexpensive. Between transport and experiences, private journeys average from $850 per person per day to $3,500 per person per day. Group excursions have listed prices and typically run from $150 per person for a specialized two-hour tasting to $1,700 per person for a two-day excursion.

We suggest all clients begin planning their trips 3 months before their arrival.

We are not! We are travel planners (meaning we don’t do a lot of flight and hotel booking), and our main job is to curate your itinerary, plan your days and experiences, and serve as emissaries to bourbon country for your group. Dinner reservations, private tour experiences, meals at distilleries, private barrel tastings - that is our sweet spot and what differentiates M&G from other services.
-
Here’s the thing: distilleries are just big ol’ factories. We like to set up a day where you combine a fantastic morning tasting with a farm-fresh lunch and then a post-lunch distillery tour. After that, we like a Happy Hour tasting - or just a flight of bourbons from one of the distillery bars - and then heading to dinner. We will connect you with the distilleries you most want to see and the experiences that best suit your group.

Drinking and driving is very bad for the planet. If you’re providing your own transportation, please select a designated driver.
